Peter Hayes
Wednesday, December 24th, 2008Peter Hayes (born February 11, 1976 in New York Mills, Minnesota), and is an American indie rock guitarist and singer. He is best known as a member of Los Angeles/RCA UK alternative rock trio, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
Peter Hayes is a founding and current member of the alternative rock trio, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
True to his musical roots, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s music is mainly inspired by Johnny Cash and The Jesus and Mary Chain. His songs, which are mostly acoustic, ballads, or internal walls of sound showcase many of his influences.

Peter Hayes is known for his amiable personality and good heart towards his fans, often milling around before and after shows, taking the time out to greet his fans, play songs and sign autographs.
Hayes played guitar and bass for the neo-psychedelic rock band, The Brian Jonestown Massacre circa 1998. Examples of his playing can be heard on the group’s Give It Back! album.
Hayes appears as a highly visible, yet quiet musician in the 2004 movie documentary DiG! as an active touring member of The Brian Jonestown Massacre. The film also documents the befriended band The Dandy Warhols.
